In October 2025, the Proximity Plumbing team proudly celebrated reaching an incredible milestone — 2,000 five-star Google reviews!

To mark the occasion and say thank you to our amazing community, we teamed up with our friends at Café Sorelles, right across the road from our Waverley office, and shouted free coffees for everyone between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

For two hours, the café was buzzing with locals — from tradies grabbing their mid-morning flat whites to parents, business owners, and familiar faces who’ve supported us over the years. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, laughter, and genuine connection, perfectly capturing what community means to us.

Reaching 2,000 reviews isn’t just about the number; it represents thousands of moments of trust, reliability, and great service shared with our clients across Sydney. Every review tells a story — and this celebration was our way of saying thank you to everyone who’s been part of ours.

Community new things to talk about. On Thursday, 11 September 2025, the Proximity Plumbing team proudly joined thousands of Australians in supporting R U OK? Day, a national movement encouraging everyone to pause, check in, and start meaningful conversations that could change a life.

This year, our team decided to spread a little positivity (and sugar!) by handing out jelly beans with bright yellow “R U OK?” stickers around the local area. It was a small but powerful gesture designed to spark smiles and open up conversations. Each handful of jelly beans was a gentle reminder to reach out, ask the question, and really listen to the answer.

Throughout the day, our office was filled with laughter, stories, and genuine moments of connection — exactly what the day is all about. For us, it was a chance to look out for one another, raise awareness, and remind both our team and community that you don’t need to be an expert to make a difference — sometimes, just checking in is enough.

On Thursday, 7 August 2025, the Proximity Plumbing team proudly supported Jeans for Genes Day, an initiative that raises funds and awareness for the Children’s Medical Research Institute. This vital cause works to find cures for children’s genetic diseases and to create a healthier future for generations to come.

To show our support, our team swapped uniforms for denim and took part in spreading awareness both on-site and online. We shared photos, started conversations with our clients, and encouraged our community to get involved. By wearing jeans and raising awareness, we helped shine a light on the importance of funding medical research that changes lives.

Every August, the streets of Sydney come alive with the energy of the City2Surf — a world-famous fun run that brings together thousands of locals, visitors, and charities, all moving with one goal in mind: to reach that iconic Bondi finish line.

This year, the Proximity Plumbing team was thrilled to be part of the action in our own backyard. We set up along the course with cold drinks, lollies, and plenty of cheers to keep runners, walkers, and even four-legged participants motivated as they powered past.

From the first burst of music to the final wave of participants, the atmosphere was electric. Our team lined the footpath, handing out handfuls of sweets and encouraging words to give everyone that extra boost when they needed it most. Seeing the smiles, high-fives, and gratitude from passing runners reminded us why we love being part of this incredible Sydney tradition.
